Our goal is for volunteering at Christian Care to be fun and fulfilling for the volunteer and energizing for the residents. Life in a nursing home, even the best of nursing homes, can be very difficult. Some nursing home residents have no close relatives. Volunteers have the opportunity to provide emotional and spiritual encouragement by visiting and fellowshipping with our residents as often as they would like. We know as well as anyone how precious time is—that is why we hold most of our volunteering to 1 hour time slots with only once a month visits.
