What is a Continuing Care Retirement Community?

Christian Care is a Continuing Care Retirement Community, or CCRC. CCRC's are often also called life care communities, because they are designed to incorporate all three senior living options into one campus or community. Christian Care can support every potential stage of senior life including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing Care.

Entering a CCRC is usually a once-in-a-lifetime choice. Residents move into an Independent Living villa while they are active and still able to live independently. They meet friends, join activities and settle into their home. Later, if they require additional health care, they can receive it right in the same campus, from health care staff they already know.

Those who move into CCRCs are planning ahead. They want to choose a community ahead of time rather than having limited choices when a health crisis hits.

“I am happy living here at Christian Care. I would recommend it to anyone.  I know my foot is in the door when I need more care and need nursing care...we all know we are going to need it sometime. I don't need to worry about where I going to be. Christian Care will take care of me." - Lakeview Estates Villas Resident
